Looking for a way to check your iPhone battery cycle count? Well, here you are on the right article.
Unfortunately until today, Apple doesn’t give us easy way to check iPhone battery cycle count. Yes, Apple does let you know how many percentage left your iPhone battery capacity is, but Apple never really reveal how many battery cycle count your iPhone has. So here’s how you can get the battery cycle count info from your iPhone.
Before continuing, you should know that every iPhone – even the latest one, has about 500 charge cycles before going down into 80% of the battery capacity (and will eventually keep going down). Here’s the statement from Apple Support Page:
A normal battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles when operating under normal conditions. The one-year warranty includes service coverage for a defective battery. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers battery service for a charge.

Here’s how to check your iPhone Battery Cycle Count
Follow the steps to get your iPhone battery cycle count.
1) On your iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements.
2) Tap on Analytics Data. You will see bunch of logs inside the Analytics Data.
3) Scroll down until you find “log-aggregated-YYYY-MM-DD-XXXXXX.ips” (YYYY-MM-DD refers to the date when the log was created, XXXXXX refers to some other random number. For example: log-aggregated-2021-01-08-012345). Find log with the latest date, so you can get more accurate battery cycle count.
4) Tap on the entry. It probably hangs for a while. Scroll down until about 3/4 of the page, and find “com.apple.ioreport.BatteryCycleCount”. Once found, the next value in Integer (integer means number) is your iPhone battery cycle count. If it says 150, means your iPhone battery cycle count has reached 150 cycles.
Alternative ways:
If on step #4) you find it hard to scroll down the log file and to seek for the “com.apple.ioreport.BatteryCycleCount” entry, here’s the alternative way you can do
1) Open the “log-aggregated-YYYY-MM-DD-XXXXXX.ips” (YYYY-MM-DD refers to the date when the log was created, XXXXXX refers to some other random number. For example: log-aggregated-2021-01-08-012345).
2) Do “Select All” the text inside the log file. Unfortunately there’s no option to select all the text, so you have to go from the first line of the log, do select, then scroll down till then end. Tap on “Copy”.
3) Go to Notes app, create a new note and paste it there.
4) On the note, tap on the “…” (3 dots icon) located on the top right of your iPhone screen, and select “Find in Note”.
5) Type in “com.apple.ioreport.BatteryCycleCount”. Notes app will return you the result. Check the next line, within the <integer> tag to see your iPhone battery cycle count.
Bring it all together
So with the steps provided, now you know your iPhone battery cycle count. Have it passed 500 charging cycle? If it does, it could be time for you to replace your iPhone battery to get your iPhone back to its maximum performance.
