If you are getting “SideStore is no longer available” error or “App is no longer available” when tapping on SideStore app, do refer to this link for detailed steps, you need to re-install SideStore to resolve the issue. Link: Reinstall SideStore at JILAXZONE.
However, if your other sideloaded app(s) that is getting “App is no longer available” issue, follow the steps in this article as you need to refresh your sideloaded apps.
Forked from AltStore, SideStore is an untethered version of AltStore – means you don’t need computer anymore to install and refresh your sideloaded apps. Good thing is that, since reaching version 0.50, SideStore is pretty much stable – the early expiry issue has been fixed and gone. So I can say, SideStore is now really much better compared to AltStore (because it’s stable now and no computer required to refresh and install sideloaded apps).
If this is your first-time hearing SideStore and you have not installed SideStore on your iPhone, do check out the following detailed guide here to get SideStore installed on your iPhone (or iPad). Link: Detailed step by step guide installing SideStore on iPhone & iPad at JILAXZONE.
Here’s why you need to refresh SideStore and all sideloaded apps
In case you are wondering why sideloaded apps require refresh every 7 days, that’s because similar to AltStore, if you are using Apple free developer account to sideload any apps via SideStore, you are required to refresh your sideloaded apps (including SideStore) every 7 days, otherwise the app will become “No longer available”. Well, this is limitation not because of SideStore, but rather a policy imposed by Apple for any sideloaded apps using Apple free developer account.
In this article, I’m going to share with you how easy it is to refresh SideStore and all sideloaded app within SideStore. Check out the steps below.
Here’s how to refresh SideStore and all sideloaded apps without Computer / PC / Mac
Follow these steps to easily refresh your sideloaded apps (including the SideStore itself).
a) Turn on Wi-Fi. On your iPhone, turn on the Wi-Fi and ensure to connect to a Wi-Fi that connects to Internet (this is a must!)
b) Open WireGuard app. In case you don’t have WireGuard app installed, do refer to this link to install and configure the WireGuard app. Link: Install & Configure WireGuard, part of SideStore installation at JILAXZONE.
c) Turn on SideStore VPN. Inside WireGuard app, turn on SideStore VPN.
d) Open SideStore app.
e) Inside SideStore app, navigate to “My Apps” tab.
f) Tap on “Refresh All” button and wait until all apps are refreshed.
g) SideStore will auto close itself for re-installing, so don’t panic.
h) Once SideStore is finished re-installing, do re-open the SideStore app and navigate to “My Apps” tab. If the refresh was successful, you should see all the apps counter are back to 7 days.
i) Close SideStore app.
j) Go back to WireGuard app, turn off SideStore VPN.
k) Close WireGuard app.
That’s it. By the time you finish doing all the steps mentioned above, you should get all your sideloaded apps (including the SideStore app itself) refreshed.
My recommendation
While SideStore will remind you 24 hours before it expires, but I would highly recommend you to set your own reminder (either using Calendar or Reminder app) and set it to remind you every 7 days. Doing so, for sure you will never miss to refresh the SideStore and all sideloaded apps.
